Hush flesh! Hush!

January as we all know is a time of fast! Most churches all round the world have their fasting and prayers ongoing already. Christians are busy fasting and praying to get their year fully started. My pastor said, “January is your first fruit, what you do with it determines how the rest of the year will be for you”. 

Self explanatory right? ☺️

So ask yourself, what have you been doing this month? Are you still going about as usual carefree while your spiritual life is suffering? Are you feeding your flesh and starving your spirit man? Have you been so busy chasing fame that you do not recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit when He tugs on your spirit? 

“I say then, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.”

Galatians 5:16. 

Has your flesh been in control lately? This month a lot of people have their do’s and don’t. Their stop and start. In your list, do you have where you’re going to draw closer to God this year? Or how often you will study your Bible? Does it include if you tend to grow your prayer life or leave it be at the level it is? A song writer once said, “if you’re not burning for Christ I don’t know what you’re burning for”. 

“For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the LORD your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.”

He loves us so much He made it so simple for us. All we need to do is OBEY! Love the Lord your God, walk in His ways and obey His commands so that you may live and multiply, and the Lord your God may bless you in all you do. 

That’s why He has given us the Holy Spirit to guide and empower us in every act of obedience. 

I urge us today to not get too distracted with life that we forget the reason we are alive. What is that thing that is distracting you from fellowship with God? Please get it in check and seek revival now! Revival is essentially a restoration of our hearts. God needs your heart to be right with Him. Don’t allow your flesh to rule you. What is prayer and fasting when you won’t let go of that secret sin? Yes you can let go. Take it to Him in prayers, renounce it and rededicate your life back to Him and watch Him restore your joy unspeakable full of glory ❤️.

Hello 2021 👋🏻

 I feel like it’s been ages since last I came on here. Whew 😅. I’m not proud about it AT ALL! So here I am surrendering myself to you asking for you forgiveness. I promise to sit up this year on blogging so help me God. Amen. 

It’s been an amazing 2020 for the entire world and if you’re reading this give GOD PRAISEEEEE! Thank You Jesus for keeping us alive to see 2021 🙏🏻🧎🏻‍♀️  

It’s been a busy 2018/2020. From getting married to my best to birthing two strong leaders in a space of 2 years whew 😅. God is so faithful and I can’t take His mercies for granted. 

I bet we all have testimonies, EVERYONE alive has a testimony. 2020 taught us how to be THANKFUL 🎊

I had some losses in 2020 but I never lost my PRAISE!

“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”

BACK WITH A BANG

What a way to start up this new year 2019!!! With a BANG indeed!!!

I have been flooded with a lot in the past months (from getting married to my best friend to moving to a new location) but don't worry you did not miss out on what God has in store for you this new year. 

In the course of this new blogging mantle i would be letting you in on my sweet testimonies but for now i just want to ask you....

Are you still in the right direction of God's plan for your life?
Did you get lost along the line and feel too scared to get back up?
Have you been the light you were created to be?

Well..... I have GOOD NEWS for you!

It's never too late to fix all these as long as you're still breathing! 

The Bible says in 1 Peter 5:7, "Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you".

Now He won't ask you to do this if He doesn't mean it! Remember His Word is Yes and Amen! 

Don't worry about any of that anymore, He got you and will take care of everything! But first you have to give it to Him, cast them on Him and watch Him surprise you.

GOD IS SPEAKING…..ARE YOU STEPPING!!!

Woah!!! Firstly it’s so good to be back on here! I’ve missed you all so much. I pray and hope we are still burning hotter for Jesus without holding back!

This season of my life has been a handful and God has been here through it all. We have loads of catching up to do but I pray gradually we catch up.

I love your heart for Jesus, you’re doing GREAT! Just don’t dwindle or panic, He got you covered FOREVER!

Do you know if you are too busy with this world and He is trying to speak to you about something, you may miss out on His voice? And eventually you may get stuck along the way and cry for help. But…. It would have been easier if you carried Him along every.step.of.the.way!

He wants your heart! ALL OF IT!!!

Where is He leading you to, are you moving regardless of how it looks difficult? Or don’t you remember when He said He knew you before you were even formed?

 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.

Before you were born I set you apart

And appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 5:1

He knows what you should be or become! Let Him lead you and you would be glad you did.

So now, enough of crying “send me Lord, I’ll go”. The question is, ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO GO? ARE YOU STEPPING OUT?

If He calls you out of that comfort zone because He sees its taking you away from His presence would you leave?

If He sends you to pray for that person that hurt you years ago, would you? (Not knowing your breakthrough is tied to that forgiveness).

If He asks for all your heart and trying to pull you out of that wrong relationship would you let go? (Not knowing He has a better love story for you and your Boaz is around the corner).

Honey, if He speaks, step out in faith! Don’t be afraid.  

Isaiah 41:10 says,

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

I am praying for you always. And I pray you will always put God first in ALL you do!

I’m getting married this month!!!! God has been so faithful! I and my hubby to be have been stepping out in faith and God has been so FAITHFUL!!! 

I would share our story sometime soon as led.

WHAT SACRIFICE ARE YOU OFFERING?

Hi family and a Happy New Dawn year to you and yours in Jesus name. Amen…

I know many of you have been wondering why the long wait, well….. Like we all know this isn’t my blog but the Holy Spirit. And if He says “wait Joann, sit and listen”. Who am I to go ahead of Him?

Well……… here we are again!!! He is soooooooooooooooooooooo FAITHFUL!!! I for one was so impatient at some point trying to make this about me and not Him until I had a check in my spirit. I yearn to please Him daily even if it doesn’t match with my feelings or what my little flesh wants.

Recently, I have been getting up extra early to sit at His feet and just rest in Him. I must confess that is thee most peaceful place to be in this trying world. He gives rest on EVERY side!

This has been a month of Fasting and Prayers from different ministries all round the world. It’s a time where believers come together to seek God’s face by putting their flesh under and to pray for the body of Christ and every of their concerns. It is a time of sacrifice and worship. But I ask this question, ‘how are you presenting your sacrifice?’ Is it with much grumbling and hate? Do you worry more than what might be the issue of concern? Are you sacrificing with one hand and being ungrateful with the other hand? When I say sacrifice you know I mean praise, worship, fasting, prayer, etc.  We pray, “Lord please accept our heartfelt sacrifice” but your heart is screaming unforgiveness, hurt, curse, and whatsoever.

 The Bible says in Matthew 5: 23-24, “So if you are presenting a sacrifice at the altar in the Temple and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, 24. leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God.” 

You might say, “But I haven’t offended anyone or held a grudge” but do you know that not even the SMALLEST DETAIL of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved? Matthew 5:18. It goes further to say in verse 22, “But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell”. Immediately I got this revelation I repented! 

My papa use to say, “The Bible knows no joke”.  I don’t want any hindrance to my sacrifice being accepted. NOT AT ALL! If the Bible says the smallest DETAILS, meaning small laws (which we know non should be neglected) then imagine that even stretched into ‘details’ like lying, cursing, swearing, cheating, gossips, complaining, murmuring, etc. We need to be conscious of every small details. 

My prayer for everyone is that none would be found wanting in Jesus Precious name. Amen. Our sacrifices will all be accepted and Jesus will be glorified through us forever.

Search your heart, what are those little foxes that are spoiling the vine? That lip sin that makes you curse & lie? That secret sin that makes you think no one is watching? That behavior sin that makes you treat people badly and that pride that won’t seem to let you help people? Cut it off!

But how can we do this? We cannot do it by our own strength. The Holy Spirit is always ever present and ready to help us. Galatians 5:16 says, “So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.” Stay rooted in God’s Word so you don’t miss out of His leading.

He said in Hebrew 11; 6 that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him. Let us with our whole heart seek after Christ diligently so we won’t miss out on our reward. It’s our new DAWN forever in Jesus name.

LET'S CHEERS….

 Cheers definition: a shout of encouragement, approval, congratulation, etc

                Here’s the thing!!!

We going to start a monthly cheer for everyone that has pulled through or still pulling through hard times. And it will be posted up every 1^st of a new month (God’s willing)! Cheering for what God did for us the previous month. We know that even in the midst of trials and tribulation God is always with us every step of the way. 

The scripture in John 16:33b clearly states, “In the WORLD ye shall have tribulation: but be of good CHEER; I have overcome the world.  

 

We won’t be overcome of evil but we would overcome evil with GOOD ~Romans 12:21. 

And even in 1 Corinthians 10:13(msg) says, “No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; He’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; He’ll always be there to help you come through it.” 

So now we know we all deserve a cheer….. LET THE CHEERING BEGINNNNNNN!!!!

 

·        Let’s cheers to not giving up even when things get really hard.

·        Let’s cheers to staying faithful in the midst of the storm.

·        Let’s cheers for always being thankful to God in the good/bad times.

·        Let’s cheers for always craving to be in His presence.

·        Let’s cheers for not turning your back on that friend even when he/she does not deserve your kindness.

·        Let’s cheers for always putting God first in all we do and being on track.

·        Let’s cheers for not holding grudges on anyone.

·        Let’s cheers for showing love and care to that friend that lost a relative.

·        Let’s cheers for being a giver.

·        Let’s cheers for being drama free at least once a day. Hahahahaha I laugh at this one because God is seriously working on me still (still in the process). 

How awesome it is to know we are not alone….. And to be reminded that we have a Father ready and ever faithful to make us know that HE WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR US IN THE MIDST OF IT ALL…
