Malachi 3:10-12
10.”Bring ye ALL the tithe
into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now
herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of
heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to
receive it.
11. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not
destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit
before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.
12. And ALL nations shall
call you blessed: for ye
shall be a delightsome land, saith the lord of hosts”.
Woahhh!!! I have a lottttttttt to say about the above
scripture. This is a scripture that is sooooo deeeep! I mean here we have God
telling us to prove Him and see…. Another bible version says, “TEST me in this and see if I don’t open
up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams”.
God’s word is yes and amen. He can never lie.
God is not a man that He should lie…. He has NEVER lied. In this scripture, He
is asking you prove Him and see. Do you know what that means? This is, ‘just in
case you’re not sure of what you’re doing, I’m telling you to test me, let me
prove to you my word is YES and AMEN’.
The blessings would be beyond our wildest dreams. We won’t
even have enough room to receive it. Lol. (I feel we would even ask our friends
or neighbours for space to help us, as in the case of peter the fishermen).
What are we waiting for???
You’re
worried about a lot of things that you forget you have the answers staring you
in the face… You wake up thinking about your budget for the next activity or
contract. You miraculously get it sorted out and forget WHO made it possible. Okay then, all He asks is just 1/tenth of your income. You say, “next time”
or “it’s too small” or “the next one you give me”. The excuses given becomes even more than the income.
And then, something goes wrong, and you’re back at the top, sulking about how
the contract didn’t work out as planned. You forget that tithing comes with a COMPLETE package? Remember He said in
verse, “11. And I will rebuke the
devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your
ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the
field, saith the Lord of hosts.
O gosh, did you see that? It’s a complete
package!!! You cannot go wrong on this one. A great man once said, “If you
thank God for His finger, He will show you His hand”.
Don’t wake up worrying about that job, that pay check
that’s taking too long, or how the fees has not yet been paid, or it’s no
longer a 3 square meal on your table, or how come you can’t afford the latest
outfits or accessories. Let this scripture be a reminder to you that GOD GOT IT!!!
Luke 12:22-31(msg), “He continued this subject with his disciples.
“Don’t fuss (worry) about what’s on the table at mealtimes or if the clothes in
your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your inner life than the food
you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you
hang on your body. Look at the ravens, free and unfettered, not tied down to a
job description, carefree in the care of God. And you are far much more. Has
anyone by fussing (worrying) before the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as
an inch? If fussing can’t even do that, why fuss at all? Walk into the fields
and look at the wildflowers. They don’t fuss with their appearance – but have
you ever seen colour and design quite like it? Even Solomon in all his glory
looks shabby alongside them. If God gives attention to the wildflowers, most of
them never even seen, don’t you think He’ll attend to you, take pride in you,
do His best for you”?
Yes He got you! Don’t worry about anything because
your Father knows that you have need of these things. But rather SEEK
FIRST HIS KINGDOM, AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU. All
these things that men are dying to get… ALL things. Not some things.
ALL!!!
From the beginning, it has been made simple for us
all…. All we have to do is take steps and act it out.
I have seen the windows of heaven open up for me and
God pour out His blessings on me. So much that everyone around me became a
partaker. Let’s not take God’s word for granted. Nothing is too small for God.
Truth be told, you can’t even give enough to Him. He doesn’t need it for
anything but rather you need all from Him. He is not a robber. He cannot ask
you to give Him a portion of your income and doesn’t keep to His own part.
NEVER! He owns it all… EVERYTHING.
He made it all without the help of an uncle or aunt or anyone. It would instead
be a huge privilege to give to Him.
Here are some practical steps to this great mystery:
1.
Bring in your tithe into His
storehouse (church).
2.
Prove Him and see.
Results:
1.
The windows of heaven will be open
and the blessings would be too much for you to even handle.
2.
He will defend you against marauders.
3.
He will protect the works of your
hands against plunderers.
4.
People will see you and call you
blessed.
5.
And many more…..
Who gave that job to you? How did you make it this
far? Have you been thankful? Have you blessed someone lately? We are blessed to
bless others. He said He will bless us in ways that we would even lend to
nations and not borrow. Do you know how deep that is? God wants us to have the
BEST. That’s why He is putting us first. Are you going to rob Him? In your
tithes and offering? Are you going to keep procrastinating about paying your
tithes and offering? What are you after? Do you want your income to increase or
decrease? You say, “how can i give God only ₦1,000 if you get ₦10,000? Let me
wait until I make enough or more”. How would more come when you don’t start
with the little? This should make you know that He is not feeding off your
little change. It’s for your own benefits. Make use of it.
My father in the Lord once said, " If you are not a tither, your struggle continues. Even if you give and do not tithe, you will recieve- but the devourers will have a swell ride in your affairs".
I pray from today, we will never take God’s word for
granted. We would not be like the rich man that made it and thought to himself
to save it all up for himself without a care in the world and God had to humble
him the hard way. That is not our portion in Jesus name. Amen. When we have the
opportunity to bless someone, let’s do it with all the joy in us because the
benefits are far more than what we even gave out. It’s my greatest joy to see
us all basking in so much glory and blessings.
My secret? I
don’t joke with my tithes or giving at large. You shouldn’t.
