"I'M LONELY, AREN'T YOU?"

A lot of you have been asking me a LOT of questions lately. "um, Joann, where is he?, you not lonely?, can i hook you up with a friend?, i cant believe a fine Christian girl is still single". and on and on and on.
                  Wait a minute sweets, i have news for you  IT'S WORTH THE WAIT!!! I have decided to allow my Father plan my love story. He is the very BEST match maker. I can relate to my Papi and Gmum. I decided to LET GO and LET GOD.
                 There are times i thought i could fix "UP" myself a man. And where did that leave me with? -NOTHING-. No they were not bad guys and all, but just not the one for me. Yea! You asking, "How do you know that?". Well at 22, God has blessed me with beautiful wisdom, not of this earth but of Heaven. (1 Corinthians 2:7,13). Girlllll you need to have yourself some STANDARDS! You can't just settle for any Billy, Tom, Mandy or Josh that comes along. And those standards will help the wrong ones leave and bring the right one (your Adam).
              If a guy walks up to me, telling me how we gotta "do it" (sex) to 'feeeeel' the love, bro please STEP!!! My JESUS "died" for me but He ain't asking to "do it"!!! "Do you love Jesus?" "Yes Joann i'm a believer, a Christian, i love Jesus". And i'm like "okay then, we not going to fornicate and.....(stops me before i finish talking) "HELL NO!!! I'm a believer not a stick"! -Confused! Honey, you better make up your mind on who you serving. You either serving JESUS or your flesh. Nobody said following Jesus is chessecake. You have to die to your flesh everyday. (read Philippians chapter 1).
I'm still learning new things everyday. I want to make Him proud. So i try everyday to put my selfish flesh to rest and walk in the Spirit. So help me God. Amen.
              Don't ever think you can "fix up yourself a man". Trust me honey, i tried it and failed. God has a BETTER plan for you. When your Adam wakes up, you will know. Right now he's still sleeping and God is still carrying out the operation (i.e working on him, to be ALL He wants him to be). While you still waiting, what are you doing to get yourself ready? Shopping online or checking out wedding gowns and couples? Sweetheart, you can't get ready that way. Trust me! I tried....... That will just keep bringing the desire of settling down with 'who who' never minding if he/she is God's BEST for you. "I will make a helper suitable for him" (Genesis 2:18). Not 'compatible', not 'managing' not 'quickly'. Not all that.
                    So rather than rushing God, try to sit and ask Him to show you those areas you need to work on (inside and outside). He has been showing, am still working. Rather than Google up wedding rings and checking out dream proposals, lol (which i was a freak at) this is what i do instead:
1. I rather sit and read up Christian books about 'how to be led by the Spirit of God' 'in pursuit of vision' 'relationship books' 'marriage books' (it's not too early or late to start reading them).
2. Study my Bible daily. "Seek Ye first and EVERY/ALL other things shall be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33). Not 'somethings' or 'most things' but EVERY! YES! Including your God given spouse. So i rest at His feet daily. Trust me, reading the Bible ain't a waste of time. You may think nothing is working/changing. But your wrong. You see yourself no longer doing the things you did before. You see yourself loving more, caring more, forgiving more, helping more, praying more, acting like Jesus more, etc. I can testify. It's AMAZING!
3. Worshiping and praising. Ain't no day passing by without me singing and dancing. There is nothing more than worshiping. When those lonely thoughts want to creep in, i push them back out with worship (cause no devil gon frustrate me) and it's an excellent feeling. (right now i feel like dropping this to go worship, Welp!).
4. Continuous fellowship. Your asking, "Joann what has this got to do here?" -EVERYTHING- My pastor said, "People sleep and do not wake up because of their Spiritual battery is dead. The devil just captures them carelessly". (Psalm 132). Keep continuous fellowship. Let God's time tickle you. And David said, 'I was GLAD when they said, let us go to the house of the Lord'. (Psalm 122:1). Be glad. Get involved. Don't just be a Sunday christian. There are tons of blessings in kingdom service. He wants you to serve in His house. Attend bible study, special services, home cell fellowship, etc. At this stage in my life i see myself so busy with God's work i'm already given a nickname.But i don't care because it keeps me busy, i get to make people cheerful, i get to keep myself busy so i won't create room for idle thoughts. You know an idle man is the devil's workshop.
5. Take care of my body. "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" (1 Corinthians 6:19). You cannot be working on your inside and your outside screams... 'RUN AWAY FROM ME!!!' Check yourself, do you take GOOD care of God's temple? Your just a caretaker, not the owner. What you do with/to it matters. Rather than drawing on it, injecting it, cutting it, inhaling fumes, killing your liver and blacking your lungs or dressings inappropriately, there are far more better things to do. How about eating healthy? Working out 3 times a week? Dressing decently and modestly? Watching what you put in your mouth? I take care of my body in such a way that the Holy Spirit will be proud dwelling in me. From my hair down to my toe nails. No one wants a dirty spouse. Also be mindful of where you take God's temple to or what you hear or watch. All those club houses isn't for everyone. All those raw musics isn't for you either or those things you watch. Even the friends you keep will either make you or mare you. Right now, i tend to have less friends than i did when i was still in the world. And as the year goes by, they drop off, because i need people "going my way" not "dragging me away".
6. Spend time developing yourself. -Of course i still have fun. There is never a dull moment since I've been saved. I spend time with my few "going my way" friends, see movies, have dinner, go to the spa, cooking up new meals, learning new stuffs and activities etc. Being saved isn't boring at all, but A.W.E.S.O.M.E cause you get to have fun and not feel bad about it.
                     This is just a few of what i do that do not make me throw myself a pity party of loneliness, and you can try it too. Just be led by the Spirit of God. And when your Adam wakes up, girlllll.... you gonna know! You may say,"i'm getting old, time is running out, my family is putting so much pressure on me", etc. Well, if you ask me, it's better to let GOD WRITE YOUR LOVE STORY than rushing into something you will be filling a divorce form 3 month later. God forbid! Your spouse hasn't shown up yet because God is still working on both of you. Rather than rushing and settling for less, sit down and ask God what you lacking and ask Him to FIX YOU UP.
               I got into a marriage covenant with my Darling Jesus after reading a book written by my father in the Lord, titled 'ALL YOU NEED TO HAVE ALL YOUR NEEDS MET -Bishop David Oyedepo'. Since then my life has been automatically transformed for the BEST. I never go a day lacking anything cause i know who am married to, and He has always proved Himself as the BEST hubby ever! Am rejoicing. I will love you to enjoy this same marital bliss. Just be sold out to Him. Will give you the details of how i did it and what am enjoying some other time. But for now, keep your head held high. GOD got this one! LET HIM!

PRAISE IS WHAT I DO

      Happy October sweeties!!! We are in another GREAT month of EXPLOITS!!! This shall be an October to Recover for you in JESUS name. Amen!
It has been a while since my last post, i have been so busy trying to catch up with ALL the powerful signs and wonders that my Father has been hitting me up with this past few weeks.And so i decided to share with you my secret. (your permitted to leak this one). Lol.

      Okay, what is my secret??? PRAISE!!!! (just a six letter word, i know righttt?). I am crazy about praising my KING. Where i am today is because of an act of praise i did yesterday!   So y'all thinking, "Joann i praise God too, why is my life still stagnant? I see no changes! Am still at that same point in my life, nothing seems to move, so chill it!"
Well...... I will chill it after am done proving to you its the BEST thing that can ever happen to you and also guiding in the right way to your GREAT testimonies ahead. It is my desire that we all prosper and make it on this earth.

WHAT IS PRAISE?
   To express respect, honor or gratitude to God. Praise is as relating to God's HOLINESS.
                                                                 Psalm 29:2.
     Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
We were created for praise and worship. The greatest desire of our life should be to praise and worship God. (John 4:23).

I shared with you briefly in my 2nd post about my midnight praise with my god sister. Well, that 7days of hot midnight praise changed our lives forever. And as time goes by, i will share the testimonies.
It wasn't a command from our pastors or anyone. We just thought to ourselves, "why don't we praise God every midnight for 7days. Paul and Silas did it and see what happened? (Acts 16:25-26). Let us  not ask God for anything but only present to Him praises". And we kicked off, every 12am-1am  dancing like David danced, singing and screaming hallelujah to our King. His presence was heavily in our midst. From day 1 till now, we have been receiving good news calls and exceeding testimonies. It is soooo marvelous!!!
 What did that little praise do?
1. It granted us access to God. Psalm 100:4.
2. It was the appropriate way to relate to God as King on His throne. Isaiah 61:3.
3. It opened the way for God to intervene in our lives. 2 Chronicles 20:22. 
4. It became our weapon of spiritual warfare. Psalm 149:6-9.

        Since that day till date, we have been receiving strange favors all round. You too can experience all this blessings but you must know this part. Before you qualify for accepted praises you must;
1. Come without an achievers mentality. (1 Corinthians 1: 26-29). Don't go praising with the thoughts of all you have achieved and all you have done to get you where you are today.
2. Come with thanksgiving. (Ephesians 5: 17-10). Be glad in your heart, thanking God for all He has done previously. Life, strength, protection, etc.
     But there are a lot of disqualifications, you can also praise and miss. You can praise and nothing seems to happen. Check yourself if you fall under this disqualifications and i pray God delivers you and accept your heartfelt praises. This hindrances are;
1. Murmuring and complaining. (1 Corinthians 10:10-11, Hebrew 12:28-29). Murmuring displeases God and makes one to fail.
2. Spirit of heaviness. (Isaiah 61:3, Proverbs 12:25). Try as much as possible to praise with a light heart. Taking away every form of bitterness or sorrow. If you have to forgive anyone, do it. I forgave in 2010, praised in that pageant with all my heart, thanking God for salvation and deliverance. And what did He do? He gave me the crown and made me His queen and also a queen to Nigeria at large. Awesome GOD.
3. Discontentment. ( 1 Timothy 6:6, Proverbs 30:15-16).
4. Holding on to pass negative events. (Ecclesiastes 7:10, Proverbs 4:18). Like i explained earlier. Let go and let God.
5. Offenses. (Matthew 11:6, Job 1:22, Ecclesiastes 5:6).
      This are very important hindrances and should be taken seriously or else your praises will just be an empty noise (not pleasing to God).

HOW SHOULD WE PRAISE GOD?
- With ALL our heart. (Psalm 111:1; 38:1).
- With your understanding. (Psalm 47:7).
- With your lips. (Psalm 63:3-5).
- With uplifted hands.
-With timbrel and a dance. (Psalm 150:4, Exodus 15:20).
- With stringed instrument. (Psalm 144:9).
    A lot more to the list.
I see signs and wonders hitting you all round as you praise GOD with ALL your heart, body, soul and spirit in JESUS MIGHTY NAME. AMEN! Don't wait until you in church before you praise God, you can praise anywhere, anytime, and anyhow. Try it and watch testimonies locate you. See you at the top! Start now and show God how grateful you are for ALL the things He has done and is still doing for you. My pastor says, "when you thank God for His finger, He will show you His whole hand". "If your not grateful, your a great fool". That shall not be our portion in Jesus name. Amen.
Remember, when you PRAISE GOD, He'll RAISE you!!!

                    Cross over service into the new year 2014

THIS TOO SHALL PASS

   Let me start by welcoming you into this GREAT week! God has been sooooooooooo good. Regardless of how rough and challenging the previous week has been. In it all He has been FAITHFUL. I just want to encourage you today. You may be going through a whole lot and your thinking, “how much longer God?”.  He knows it all, He sees it all. Remember He cannot give you more than you can bare. Just hold on in there and keep your FAITH alive, cause without faith it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6.

         Don’t EVER think you’re too deep in that issue, problem or sin and so God will not listen or save you. He is not like man, He understands you. People may laugh at you now and call you all sort of names now, tell you how much of a terrible person you are, and the devil may keep echoing his lies in your head, telling you you’re too deep to get help. I want you to scream back at that liar, and tell him, “THIS TOO SHALL PASS”.  You may say,” Joann, this is different, am too deep in it, besides, it’s all rosy for you so it’s easy for you to say”.  Well, you’re wrong with a big X to it!

I know exactly how it is to lay in bed at night and cry. I have been hurt, broken, I trusted too much and ended up disappointed, I have failed severally, been messed up. Matter of fact, when am totally bashed I will run back to my Father and He was ALWAYS standing there with open arms, ready to receive me even with all my mess. He showed me that love that no man can ever show me. And then, a little distraction comes my way, and I slip out of His embrace and run back into my mess, and you know what, He was still there tugging on me to come back. Waiting! And more waiting! The moment the temporal pleasure gets sour and I get hurt and messed up, I run back to Him and that God that I left, I ignored, I rejected will still PICK me up and CLEAN me like I never faulted. He cleaned me from my scars that where so deep within. He is the only one that’s patient when I fall, He never laughs at me when I make mistakes and cry, but always ready to fix me back up. Now I can never leave cause He is all I have and ever need. And look, my life is moving from glory to glory. When the devil challenges me, and frustrates me, am glad, cause it only means I have something great heading my way, so I will shake it off cause my testimony (future) is far better than my present. Am not asking and praying you walk in my shoes, or go about the way I went. You’re special!

You have a great opportunity and please don’t joke with it. Whenever you call, He is ALWAYS listening, no matter how bad the situation is, you may not see an immediate result or even the sort of result you hopping to get, but I assure you, He is working backstage and very soon it will all be over. He said, I will NEVER leave you, nor forsake you”. Hebrews 13:5.    Ahhhhhhh!!!! What a privilege to know the owner of the heavens and the earth got our back. Has He ever lied before? Numbers 23:19. So if HE says He will NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! Leave you nor forsake you, then who or what are you afraid about? He got this one! He did it for me, He will do it for you too, even more! He has not forgotten you. His angels will watch over you. Luke 4:10-11. Don’t give up! Don’t give in! Remember, He is the potter, we are His clay. Isaiah 64:8. When the potter wants to make something pretty and priceless, he has to twist, bend, break, remold and so on, its very painful and a hard experience for the clay, but when he is finished, Ahh!! Everyone around looks and praises his work. Right now we in the twisting stage, its hard, its difficult, its painful but I got good news for you! WE WILL COME OUT PRETTY! Hang in there and stay put. Say no to that secret sin because its pulling you back away from His blessings and all the good things He has in store for you. Shun the devil, and he will flee. James 4:7. He wont come to you as his ugly self, but will send his agents, people or things all around you to distract you from your Creator. Be alert!!! 1 Peter 5:8.

I release peace into your heart now in the name of JESUS CHRIST. Whatever your going through, God is right there in the mist of it all. Ready and waiting for you to tell Him. He said make your request known. Philippians 4:6. Tell Him that problem and watch Him take charge. HE IS ABLE!!!

39 STRIPES

                   When I sit back and remember all our Saviour went through to make us whole, it makes me sad! Why? Because we have refused to know that He died for a cause. He gave Himself up for our sake. Got down so we can rise up. Why do we still let the devil creep into our hearts, mind and body and get us beat down? Remember how He was beaten, spat on, He carried ALL those burdens just to make us WHOLE! Do you know we were created with divine health? Genesis 2:7 says, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and BREATHED into his nostrils the breath of LIFE; and man became a living soul”. It was the breath of God that was responsible for the supernatural health man enjoyed in the garden. Divine health is supernatural health!

 WHAT IS DIVINE HEALTH?

      This is “God’s-like” body. (You must a have connection with God to enjoy divine health). Now, as children of God we are entitled to divine health. God put supernatural life in us; His own kind of life in us, that we may enjoy God’s kind of health. He created us in His image and likeness. Genesis 1:26.

      It may interest you to know that only ONE thing can cut us from divine health. And that is………………. SIN!!! (Genesis 2:16-17).

When I was sold out to the devil, dwelling in all that filth and disgust, I was saying yes to him destroying my body, soul, and spirit man. A healthy spirit is what guarantees a healthy mind and body. (3 John 1:2), so when man’s spirit dies, his mind and body becomes exposed and subject to the forces of death. When I was saying yes to the devil, I was exposing myself to those forces, which are:

·         Sicknesses

·         Affliction

·         Physical death

        When Adam and Eve gave in to the devil by eating the forbidden fruit, they realized they were naked and hid themselves, (Genesis 3:7-8), man suddenly became responsible for his well-being via natural provision. (Genesis 3:7-9, 15). You see, SIN put us under the dominion of satan. We lost divine health to sin, therefore making us vulnerable to sicknesses, diseases, even death because divine health was its defense against all that.

Now, that was why JESUS came!

1.       To save us from our sin (Colossian 2:13).

2.       By His blood redeemed us, brought us back from sin and satan (Hebrews 9:11-12, 1 Corinthians 6:20).

3.       He gave us back the God-kind of life.

4.       He remained committed to man’s health all through His ministry (Acts 10:38).

     When I gave my life to Christ and accepted Him as my Lord and Saviour, I never had anything to do with sickness anymore. The devil has no power to put sickness in me. I am now more powerful than sickness.

              In Isaiah 53:1-5 talks of how He was rejected by men, He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; and by His stripes we are HEALED! He was given 39 stripes. It has been recorded that all the diseases in this world has been categorized into 39. So it will interest you to know, each stripe He bore for us represent each disease. Why do we still ignore all this privileges? Sickness isn’t for us! God’s will for us is DIVINE HEALTH (3 John: 2, Jeremiah 29:11, Exodus 23:25, Isaiah 33:24, Joel 3:10).

     This sickness is not just limited to physical sickness of the body, but also sickness of the spirit (Proverbs 15:13), emotional sickness e.g., anxiety, bitterness, sorrow, unforgivness, frustration, etc.

HOW DO WE ACQUIRE THIS HEALING?

    Some of the ways are:

1.       Recovering by laying of hands. (Mark 16:17-18)

2.       Healing through the name of JESUS.

3.       Through the power Jesus has given us. (Luke 10:19; 9:1; 10:1).

4.       Healing through the word of God.

5.       Through communion.

6.       Through the anointing oil.

7.       Through the blood of Jesus.

8.       Through mantle and feet washing.

9.       Confession of faith.

10.   Curse the sickness.

11.   By faith, prayer and praise.

The devil will always try to hinder us through sin, doubt and unbelief, impatience, unforgivness and bitterness, absence of love, fear, religious misconception, anxiety and unthankfulness, etc. But it’s our place not to give in. Jesus has given us this beautiful benefit, let us stop living this world’s way. We are saved that we may be made whole.  When I caught this rhema in 2010 after I gave my life to Christ, it was goodbye to sickness for LIFE!!! Till date, I have not had any reason to lay on any sick bed, not even headache, I will work myself hard, but never break down. I don’t remember what it’s like to be sick with any sort of common illness. Who says the devil never still attempts to break me down? Of course he sends all sort of aches n pains my way, but I remind him, because he is too dumb to remember that my JESUS bore ALL my sicknesses and diseases, so I can NEVER fall into his trap.

       You too can live your remaining days in TOTAL HEALTH, therefore, the last health crisis you saw is the last you will ever see again In JESUS name. Amen. Whenever the devil comes by to make you feel down and ill, remind him Jesus died for your sake, and took away some alllllllllll sicknesses. Remember Jesus lives in us, His Spirit is alive in us, so sickness can never dwell in your body. Unless you don’t know why Jesus died or He didn’t die for you, then you are permitted to be sick. But if He did, I tell you, you are free!!! Have you ever heard our Lord God had fever, or malaria, or cancer or asthma? Remember, we are created in HIS IMAGE and LIKENESS! What is not found in Him is not permitted to be seen in us ever!

  

       But if you’re not SAVED, you’re not SAFE! If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, or peradventure you had, but fell back into sin, divine health can never be your! So take a moment and surrender to Him or rededicate your life to Him again. Repent of your sins and accept Him into your heart as Lord over your life and watch divine health locate you.

         LORD JESUS, I PRAY FOR YOUR CHILDREN TODAY, I ASK LORD YOU HEAL THEM OF EVERY FORM OF SICKNESS OR DISEASES THE DEVIL IS TRYING TO TRICK THEM WITH. YOU DIED FOR OUR SAKE AND BY YOUR STRIPES WE ARE HEALED. LORD, WE BELIEVE YOU’RE OUR HEALER, AND DELIVERER. FOR NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU. JUST LIKE YOU HAVE BLESSED ME WITH DIVINE HEALTH THAT I AM ABLE TO TESTIFY TODAY, I ASK YOU RELEASE HEALING TO THEIR BODIES, SOUL AND SPIRIT, THAT THEY MAY HAVE EVERY REASON TO GLORIFY YOU AND TESTIFY OF YOUR AWESOMENESS. THANK YOU FATHER, FOR WE BELIEVE WE ARE MADE WHOLE NOW. IN JESUS BLESSED NAME. AMEN!!!     Celebrate your health today.
